We are a commercial cleaning company and a proud accredited Real Living Wage Employer.

Honestly, this is something we’re incredibly proud of, and we want people to know why it matters. Apologies if this sounds like a rant, but please hear me out.

I am genuinely tired of seeing companies exploit workers while appearing to “thrive” on paper. That isn’t success. Small, ethical businesses like ours are a vital part of the economy, and we rely on the support of local companies that share those values.

Shockingly, only around 1–2% of commercial cleaning companies in the UK are accredited Living Wage Employers. That means the vast majority of cleaning staff are paid only the minimum wage or, in some cases, not even that.

Many cleaners are labelled as “self-employed” while effectively working as employees. I personally know someone in this situation who had the cost of cleaning chemicals, uniforms, and even cloths deducted from their pay. That simply isn’t right.

We regularly receive job applications asking if the role is cash-in-hand, because people fear that proper employment will affect their benefits. While we understand the pressure people are under, we choose to do things properly. We employ people honestly, we pay taxes, and we believe that hard-working people deserve a safe, respectful, and supportive working environment.

That’s why our staff stay with us, and why some even return. We are incredibly proud of every single person who works with us. They work hard, they care, and without them, Perfect Cleaning Solutions simply wouldn’t exist.
