I am absolutely delighted to share that Perfect Cleaning Solutions is a finalist for the Women’s Enterprise Scotland Award 2025 in the Outstanding Business of the Year category! 🎉
This means so much to me personally. As a mother of two, the last few years have been full of challenges – balancing a baby, a toddler, and a growing business has tested me in every way. There were times I felt completely burned out, ready to switch off… but my kids and my team rely on me, and that gave me the strength to keep going.
I can do this because I have purpose, responsibility, and motivation. My staff work so hard, and I truly appreciate them. And I know I can manage now only because of the years of hard work that got me here. While many of my peers went into office jobs after university, I was cleaning flats and houses – often until after midnight, sometimes overnight. I picked up bar shifts to ease financial pressure, always paying staff first and leaving myself last.
Back then, a “35-hour a week contract” felt like a part-time job compared to my 16-hour days! My weeks started with early-morning networking, days building the business, nights behind the bar, and more hours on the road in my van than at home.
That’s why being recognised as a finalist for Outstanding Business of the Year is so special. It’s not just my journey – it’s a celebration of my team, my family, and everyone who has supported Perfect Cleaning Solutions along the way. 💙💗
