Our mission as a company is to provide our staff with the safe and fair workplace.
In the cleaning industry, workers are often paid minimum or even below minimum wages due to people being exploited with unfair contracts. People are often made to work as a self-employed cleaner to mitigate all costs associated with employing staff. In addition to that, people often getting paid cash in hand which in nature is very unfair and secretive.
I have experienced things that cleaners go through first hand. And also have heard a lot of stories from my colleagues who have previously worked elsewhere.
We have been promoting and highlighting this issue through our regular blog posts and marketing materials.
We as a company are really passionate about treating our staff well, and being a Living Wage employer gives us that clear commitment to do better for the staff, it is like a benchmark. We are seen as a great employer by our staff. You can see this by an incredibly low turnover rate as people stay with us for longer. This can be said for both our staff and for our clients. When our staff leave our employment for whatever reason, they always say that we are the best employer they have worked with which is an amazing compliment to get.
I believe this is super powerful coming from a small cleaning company that was started by purchasing a single vacuum and couple of sprays. We are now changing lives of many people through Perfect Cleaning Solutions, and we are so proud of this.
And through being a Living Wage employer, we are able to show everyone that this is what we do for our staff and one of it is to pay them fairly, which aligns with our mission.
